The 3 Success Secrets That Changed My Life
PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT

Everyone dreams of success in their lives. Like many, I wanted to enjoy the rewards of having made it in life. As a result I spend countless hours reading books on success, attending seminars that would motivate me or watching videos that would inspire me.
I would leave seminars fired up to be the next big thing. But in the cold face of reality, the fire soon died. Sometimes the pain of staying on track was too much. Especially when it hurt my pocket. When you do not acquire the right knowledge you pay for your ignorance.
What I did not know was that there is no “one way street” to success. Infact, success itself comes in many shapes and sizes.
Fortunately for me I met someone who had become wildly successful without the badges society normally puts on successful people. I was not only surprised, I was curious, so I took time to learn from them.
Their skills and knowledge did not come from expensive courses, it came from mentors. They carefully chose mentors who shared similar interests. They spent as much time with them as they could and adopted their habits. They hung around clubs or coffee shops which they frequented. Over a coffee they would glean nuggets of invaluable knowledge all for free!
As I watched I learnt that these 3 things still produce results:
A tenacious spirit
Strong conviction
Hard work
On their own, they will not produce the right results of success. I needed to know more when it became obvious to me that experts never share all their knowledge. The reason is simple. They want you to keep coming back to them for the next step and the next. Knowledge for you and money in their pockets. It is a win-win situation, or should be.
Experts are not selfish but these are the three secrets they do not want you to know:
1. You are and have everything you need
When you take the first step you may stumble but get up quickly. Be like a child who doesn’t stop walking after their first fall. With time, you eventually find your path and learn to own your pain in the process.
It’s the only way you get through the valley of death experience and come out a winner.
Tell yourself this every single day:
I am and have everything I need.
2. You are better than you think
There are people who are very good at self-promotion and have strong self-belief. But there are also many more who are haunted by insecurity. If you belong to the latter group — STOP!
Stop searching for solutions from people who are more lost than you are.
Draw from those resources hidden deep within your spirit.
3. Everybody suffers from imposter syndrome at some point
When will good enough be good enough?
When will you allow yourself to be called an expert?
There is no need to compare yourself with anyone. You are unique. You have a view. Noone but you can be you. Your voice still matters even if you do not hold multiple degrees or have X years of experience.
During those moments when you feel a bit wobbly remind yourself of how far you have come, what you have achieved and how many people you have impacted just by being an inhabitant of planet earth.
You are and have everything you need.
You are better than you think.
Everybody suffers from imposter syndrome at some point.
